Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte missed the UniTeam’s campaign rally in Bangued, Abra on Wednesday morning after heavy rains hit her city.
Presidential bet Bongbong Marcos apologized for Duterte’s absence due to the bad weather in Davao City.
“I apologize as our next vice president was not able to join us…she was not allowed to fly here because it was raining heavily in Davao. Despite this, she is sending her love to all of you and her message that everyone must love the Philippines,” Marcos said.
Heavy rains caused flooding in low-lying areas in Davao City, displacing more than 2,000 families residing in 14 villages along the banks of Davao River.
PAGASA on Tuesday monitored a low pressure area (LPA) 100 kilometers east of Davao City but has a slim chance of developing into a tropical depression.
