The Games and Amusements Board (GAB) has given the green light for the Mobile Legends: Professional League PH to take place offline from Week 3 up to the playoffs.

“During the period, strict health and safety protocols will be implemented such as having swab tests and limiting the number of personnel entering the venue,” Moonton announced.

“There will also be a roving safety officer to ensure everyone follows the rules. Safety and sanitation kits will be shared with all attendees and potential cases will be isolated.”

Since the COVID-19 hit the country, MPL matches have been played online in Seasons 7 and 8. Though the games will be in-person again, a live audience will still not be allowed in the venue.

“The venue will be limited to players, casters, and staff for safety purposes,” MPL stressed.

“There will also be no audience during the games, but fans can stream the matches at the comfort of their homes through MPL-PH’s official social media platforms.”

MPL Season 9 is set to start this Friday, 18 February.
