Harris drops 41 as Magnolia escapes TNT

Mike Harris had a monster game as he dropped 41 points in Magnolia’s 96-93 escape over TNT in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governors’ Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Friday night.
Behind the former best import’s impressive display of firepower, the Hotshots kept a clean 4-0 win-loss record for a tight grip of the top spot.
Harris also pulled down 18 rebounds and had two assists for an all-around performance while Paul Lee led the locals with 15 markers, five boards and two steals.
Marc Barroca chipped in 14 points and six rebounds, while dishing crucial dimes in the final stretch of the match.
After keeping Tropang Giga at bay in the first 36 minutes of action, Magnolia had some anxious moments in the final period.
Jayson Castro put TNT on top, 78-77, with 8:38 left. The Hotshots answered back with a 7-0 barrage to regain control.
Aaron Fuller finished with team-high 21 points and 11 rebounds for the Tropang Giga, who missed the services of Roger Pogoy due to calf injury. Mikey Williams had 17 markers.
