Sen. Joel Villanueva is Covid-positive

In a press statement, Villanueva said he is currently in self-isolation after yielding positive results from a swab test Thursday evening.
He began experiencing Covid symptoms, such as headache and fever on Wednesday.
The lawmaker said he has already informed his close contacts.
“Dahil bakunado at boosted po tayo, at sa tulong ng panalangin sa Diyos, malaki po ang tiwala ko na malalampasan natin itong balakid na magpatuloy ang trabaho natin sa Senado,” he said.
“Kaisa po tayo sa lahat ng mga manggagawa na araw-araw nakikipagsapalaran sa pandemya para maghanap-buhay. Kayo po ang inspirasyon ko para patuloy kong masuportahan ang inyong kapakanan bilang empleyado sa Senado,” he added.
