Filipino fans will have the advantage as the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) announced a special ticket package for the national men’s basketball team’s campaign in the FIBA World Cup in 2023.
SBP announced on Wednesday that the federation, in coordination with the International Basketball Federation, will offer limited passes which will be available to fans with early bird pricing from 1 to 31 March.
Only 1,100 slots will be offered as the package will be composed of the five Gilas Pilipinas games in the elimination round.
SBP said the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Mall of Asia Arena and Philippine Arena will serve as the venues for the country’s hosting of the event.
Prices start at P2,499 for general admission, while the upper box package is worth P23,499.
Lower box regular is at P41,499, while the premium package is at P52,999.
The said prestigious quadrennial event will also be hosted by Japan and Indonesia.
Japan has likewise secured an automatic berth in the tourney, while Indonesia still has to qualify through the FIBA Asia Cup or World Cup qualifiers.
“The journey for the FIBA World Cup 2023 in Manila starts now,” SBP president Al Panlilio said in a statement.
“Be the first to support your Gilas team by purchasing the Follow My Team Pass-Philippines. Together, let’s win for all!”
