Man waylaid in Quezon

A nurse was shot dead in Candelaria, Quezon, Monday.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m., at the junction of Ipil-ipil and Cabuñag streets in Barangay Pahinga Norte.

Danreb Ibre (30), a resident of the town, was riding pillion on a motorcycle driven by one Melvin Dinglasan, when the hitman approached and pumped several bullets at Ibre.

Ibre was rushed to Peter Paul Medical Center, but eventually expired.

Local authorities are still gathering information about the assailant, who quickly fled after the attack.
