Magnitude 6.1 rocks Davao Occidental

A magnitude 6.1 rocked Davao Occidental at 10:26 a.m. on Saturday, 22 January, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

Phivolcs said that the quake with a depth of 33 kilometers was located at 275 kilomters south of Balut Island, Sarangani, Davao Occidental.

It added that it does not expect tsunami despite the strong quake offshore of Davao Occidental.
