Three foreigners with arrest warrants in their countries were arrested by the Bureau of Immigration (BI), the agency announced on Thursday.

Commissioner Jaime Morente bared that an American, a Taiwanese, and a South Korean were nabbed Monday in three separate operations conducted by the BI Fugitive Search Unit (BI-FSU) in Metro Manila and Pangasinan.

Morente said that they will be deported for being undesirable aliens and for posing risk to public safety and security. Their names will be placed on the BI Blacklist. They’ll be banned from re-entering the country.

The BI chief added that the three fugitives will remain at the BI Warden Facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City pending issuance of their summary deportation by the Bureau’s Board of Commissioners.

The Taiwanese was identified as Sie Mu Shi, 32 and who has a warrant for illegal possession of firearms. He was nabbed in Quezon City.

South Korean Lee Chungho, 37, was arrested at the BI main building in Intramuros, Manila after he was found as an overstaying alien. He is wanted by authorities in Seoul for reportedly defrauding victims of 15.2 million won (almost $13,000).

American fugitive Rexfordgay Sanculi Velasco, 43, was also found to be overstaying when he was arrested in Dagupan City, Pangasinan. Velasco, a former US Marine, is wanted by the US Department of the Navy for deserting the military.
