The renovated Ospital ng Maynila (OM) will start serving Monday as a drive-thru Covid-19 vaccination center for public utility vehicle drivers and operators, as well as their families.
Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, thus, called on drivers of tricycles, sidecars, delivery vans, pedicabs and taxi cabs to go to the newest vax site in the capital city.
“Just come in, have yourself vaccinated, then go about with your trips. You may work again after getting your doses so your day is not wasted,” Domagoso said.
The actual vaccination will be done at the new building of the OM at the corner of A. Mabini Street and Quirino Avenue near Manila Zoo.
At least 1,000 doses had been allocated for administration at OM from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the mayor said.
Other drive-thru vax sites in Manila are those near the Quirino Grandstand and the Bonifacio Shrine. Domagoso said he is planning to use the Manila Zoo as an inoculation site for minors aged 5 to 11 and seniors.
