Concepcion bats shorter OFW quarantine

Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion on Monday claimed the Philippines is now a safe haven for overseas Filipino workers who want to celebrate the Yuletide Season on vacation in the country.

He said the country now enjoys the reputation of having the lowest Covid-19 cases in the world and most indicators show that the Philippines is not likely to experience a surge in cases this last quarter.

“Our kababayans should spend Christmas at home, not in a foreign land and definitely not at a quarantine facility,” Concepcion said.

He appealed to the Department of Health to decide and revert the facility quarantine requirements to just three days before 15 December. This would allow returning Filipinos who test negative for the virus to be released from quarantine in time to celebrate Christmas with their families.
