Boracay watersports only for vaxxed tourists

All watersports allowed to operate in Boracay Island shall be exclusive for fully vaccinated tourists, Aklan Governor Florencio Miraflores has ordered.

Miraflores issued Executive Order (EO) 028-A to issue the restriction on watersports and other contact sports within the island resort, including basketball for fully vaccinated residents.

“WaterSports activities such as scuba diving, helmet diving, banana boat ride, fly fish, parasailing and other water sports activities shall likewise be allowed,” read the EO in part.

“Provided that minimum health standards shall be observed under the watch of the local government. Provided, further, that all clientele must also be fully vaccinated,” it added.

Miraflores issued the said EO as a guideline with Aklan province now under Alert Level 2 until 15 December.
