Hometown Cha Cha Cha star Kim Seon-ho breaks his silence following a controversial post from his alleged ex-girlfriend that made the rounds on social media.

On 18 October, a day after the successful airing of Seon-ho’s series with Shin Min-ah, an anonymous poster came out, accusing actor K of forcing and coercing her to get an abortion under the false promise of marriage, among others. Despite any names not being mentioned in the post, speculations are pointing to the 35-year-old rising actor.

The poster said they can’t “mentally live to see his different image every time he showed up on TV” so they decided to post it.

“He made me abort my precious baby on the false promise of marriage, and he forced me to make the sacrifice because he was sensitive when working on a project and because he was a star. I am going through severe psychological and physical trauma due to this,” the post, according to a report from Soompi, added.

The actor in question also broke up with her through a phone call in early 2020.

Seon-ho, on 20 October, said it was due to fear that he had belatedly released a response through his agency Salt Entertainment addressing the issue.

He admitted that he had met and dated the woman with good emotions, but had hurt her due to “carelessness and inconsiderate actions.”

The actor did not elaborate further.

Seon-ho said that he wanted to meet and apologize to them personally but wasn’t able to properly convey his thoughts and sincere apology at the moment, so he wanted to genuinely apologize through his statement.

The actor also regretted disappointing those who had cheered and trusted him, “It was all thanks to those who supported me that I was able to become the actor Kim Seon-ho, but I had forgotten that,” he said.

He also apologized to his co-stars and staff who had worked with him for all the trouble he had caused.

“I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone who was hurt.”

Seon-ho rose to prominence for his role as Han Ji-pyeong in the 2020 South Korean drama Start-Up and as Hong Du-sik in the recently concluded hit series Hometown Cha Cha Cha.
