UDENNA on Tuesday vowed to address the allegations raised against the company amid the filing of a criminal complaint before the Office of the Ombudsman.

“We have yet to receive the supposed complaint filed against UDENNA officials before the Office of the Ombudsman and have learned about it only through media reports,” UDENNA said in a statement.

It was reacting to the criminal complaint lodged against the Department of Energy (DOE), Davao-based businessman Dennis Uy, former and current officials of state-run Philippine National Oil Co.-Exploration Corp. (PNOC-EC) as well as officials of Chevron Philippines over the sale of the latter’s stakes in the Malampaya gas-to-power project to Uy’s enterprise.

“At the proper time and venue, we will address all allegations raised against the company to prove that everything is done aboveboard,” according to UDENNA.

UDENNA maintained that the acquisition of UC Malampaya Phils. Pte., Ltd. (UCMP) of the shares of Chevron Philippines in Chevron Malampaya LLC was within the parameters of the law.
