Filipinos could only think of Cebuana singer Sheryn Regis whenever “Come in Out of the Rain” is heard on the karaoke.
It’s been 17 years since her performance of the Wendy Moten track at the grand finals of Star in a Million, where she finished second only to Erik Santos.
“Come In Out of the Rain” will, of course, be in the repertoire of Regis’ debut online concert, Love United, on 23 October on KTX.ph, iWantTFC and TFC IPTV.
It will stream again the following day.
In a virtual media conference for the show, Regis teased that she made a few tweaks to the tune which the audience should watch out for.
Her guests include EZ Mil, H-BOM, Kaela Francheska, Froilan Canlas and the TNT boys.
Regis is the voice behind the theme songs of the following teleserye: Marina, Krystala, Kampanerang Kuba, Gulong ng Palad, Maria Flordeluna and Prinsesa ng Banyera.
Early this year, she released the singles “Tulad ng Dati” and “Gusto Ko Ng Bumitaw” on Star Music.
In 2016, Regis was diagnosed with stage 2 thyroid cancer. She went to the United States to undergo surgery.
Following her recovery in the US, she hosted the magazine talk show Chit Chat Houston.
She returned to the Philippines in 2020 and went back to work, co-hosting the ABS-CBN singing and cooking competition, Kalderoke, with comedian Wacky Kiray.
Love United is presented by ABS-CBN Events and produced by MAK Entertainment. Tickets for the concert are now available online for P899/$17.99 (regular) and P1,4999/$30 (VIP with access to digital after-party).
