Presidential aspirant and Senator Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao bared Friday his 10-man senatorial ticket in the 2022 national elections.
In an interview, Pacquiao said he will carry the candidacies of broadcaster Raffy Tulfo, Labor Leader Elmer Labog, Human rights advocate Neri Colmenares and Former Gov. Lutgardo Barbo.
Senator Miguel Zubiri, Sorsogon Gov. Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero, former Vice President Jejomar Binay, Sen. Joel Villanueva, Antique Rep. Loren Legarda and Sen. Richard ‘Dick’ Gordon, meanwhile, will serve as his guest candidates.
Asked about the two names to complete his slate, the senator said that he is currently in talks with five senatorial bets and is mulling on who to choose.
Pacquiao is running for President alongside House Deputy Speaker Lito Atienza under the Probinsya Muna Development Initiative (PROMDI) party.
Officials of President Duterte’s faction inside Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) earlier said his usage of PROMDI’s Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance “automatically expels” him from the political group but the retired boxing champion merely brushed off the claim.
