Echo flaunted its might to send M2 Mobile Legends world champion Bren Esports packing in the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines (MPL) Season 8 over the weekend.

The star-studded group of Angelo Kyle “Pheww” Arcangel, CJ “Ribo” Ribo, Karl Gabriel “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno, Allan “Lusty” Castromayor and David Charles “FlapTzy” Canon gave their all, but it was never enough as Echo dealt them with a 2-0 beating to eliminate them out of the tournament.

Echo’s Mobile Legends coach Steve “Dale” Vitug said they faced Bren Esports with fire in their eyes, knowing that they are one of the best teams in the country who rolled Season 6 of this professional competition.

“We are not overconfident, but we never felt nervous about this. We are used to this kind of scenario and had a good sleep because the players were excited to play,” Dale said.

“Whatever it is, we have to play with all our heart so whether we win or we lose, there will be no regrets in the end. I just told them to enjoy the game because this is the last series of the regular season.”

Echo got the job done with Thamuz, Lunox, Hayabusa, Yve, and Mathilda in Game 1 as Bren played Khufra, Pharsa, Lancelot, Alice and Baxia.
