Superstar streamer Herschel “Dr Disrespect” Beahm has no plan of dipping his fingers into New World, which took the gaming community by storm following its official release on 28 September.
Dr Disrespect shows no respect, saying he has no plan of playing the game despite the decision of other big-time streamers, including Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek to give it a try.
“New World, I can’t watch five seconds of that,” said the 39-year-old American in a stream.
“I can’t sit in my seat, watch someone chop trees and bricks down and run around with 50 million other people looking to update their level by .05 percent that is casted to the end of their stick that allows them to do electrical charge on some sort of world creature on the east side of the map.”
“I don’t know. It’s hard for me to just sit there and watch it. Because of that, I have no drive to want to play it, no interest at all.”
Known for his brash on-camera persona and is never the type to hold back in giving his take on video games and developers, Dr Disrespect primarily plays first-person shooters and has made news countless times due to his strong opinion.
Last May, Dr Disrespect made headlines after getting embarrassed in a kill race at Call of Duty: Mobile by Luke “Ferg” Fergie.
They traded barbs before the event with Dr Disrespect branding mobile gamers as “not real gamers,” drawing the tie of the entire mobile gaming community.
Ferg threw down the gauntlet and challenged him to a kill race.
Unfortunately for Dr Disrespect, he was dominated by Ferg as he scored 37 in the first round and 47 in the second for a total of 84 kills.
Dr Disrespect, meanwhile, killed 23 in round one then 26 the following round for a total of 49 kills.
He made news a month later after taking a shot at popular team-based battle royale Apex Legends. He previously uninstalled the game and vowed never to play it again, only to see him back at it and say that the game puts him to sleep.
