Abra, Kalinga suspend classes, gov’t work due to ‘Maring’

Abra and Kalinga on Monday suspended classes and work in government offices as Tropical Storm Maring threatens many areas in the country.
Abra Gov. Ma. Jocelyn Valera-Bernos called on residents to stay home and take the necessary preparation to minimize the effect of ‘Maring,’
Kalinga Gov. Ferdinand B. Tubban also declared the suspension of classes in both private and public schools in the province.
Tubban also warned of possible power outages that will eventually disrupt online classes.
Storm signal number 2 was raised in nine areas in the country.
