Two-time champion OG crushed South Korean DOTA 2 squad T1, 2-0, in Group Stage Day 2 of The International 10 early Saturday (Manila time).

The win improved OG’s Group A standing to 3-1-1 while T1 dropped to 1-0-3.

Captained by Filipino DOTA star Carlo “Kuku” Palad, T1 was dominated by OG in Game 1 but fought back hard in Game 2 with the help of 23savage, Kuku, Xepher, and Whitemon against OG’s SumaiL, Topson, Ceb, Saksa, and N0tail.

T1 took the fight early to the TI 8 and TI 9 champions with Jakiro, Treant Protector, Storm Spirit, Troll Warlord, and Vengeful Spirit lineup. OG fought back with a late game-oriented draft of Monkey King, Legion Commander, Ember Spirit, Rubick, and Slark.

T1 was ahead throughout the game and began Game 2 with a 6-2 lead on kills by the 8th minute mark. T1 looked one step ahead with their team play executions, widening their lead come the mid game though they were unable to take the gold lead.

By the 22nd minute mark, OG’s SumaiL was ahead on the gold race at 12,515 compared to T1’s 23Savage’s 11,000 with his Troll Warlord. A team clash saw OG’s Monkey King pull out his ultimate but did little as they also lost Legion Commander and Slark in the battle.

T1 went for Roshan, which paved the way for T1 to finally take a gold lead and advance their Troll Warlord on top of the economy game. OG won a series of team clashes next to reclaim the gold lead but was halted at the 28:00 mark when they lost 4 heroes except for Ember Spirit.

The longer the fight went by, the harder it became for T1 to close the series. Slark was stacked, Ember Spirit was fully equipped, allowing them to close the show with 31-32 kills on the scoreboard and a 22k lead on gold at the 39th minute.
