Two notorious members of carnapping groups were collared by the Novaliches and Batasan policemen, leading to the seizure of six motor vehicles and as many motorcycles from them.
The arrests and recovery of the carnapped vehicles were conducted in several operations by the Quezon City Police District.
The suspects were identified as Angelica Daskeo, 29; Genesis Ramos, 33 years old, a resident of Bustos, Bulacan.
Said suspects sold a second-hand Toyota Vios to a complainant who paid P120,000 last 17 September as down payment.
But the real owner of the car was able to track his vehicle rented by the suspect but was not returned. A GPS device allowed the owner to locate the car.
An entrapment operation followed leading to the suspects’ arrest.
