Figure skater Edrian Celestino will need to pull off a miracle in the men’s free skate on Friday after a dismal start in the 2021 CS Nebelhorm Trophy men’s short program in Oberstdorf, Germany Thursday evening (Manila time).

The Filipino bet placed 16th in his first performance with 64.32 points.

With only seven slots for the 2022 Winter Olympics are up for grabs in the tournament which serves as a qualifier for the Beijing Games, Celestino will need to put up a brilliant performance in free skate to make the cut.

The points earned in the short program and free skate will be added to determine a contestant’s standing.

Meanwhile, Filipino-American figure skater Sofia Frank will perform on Friday at 1:00 a.m. (Manila time).
