Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT), a unit of global port operator International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI), recently marked a milestone with the handling of its 10-millionth twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) since commencing operations in 2002.

“This hallmark achievement is the result of synchronized efforts and dedication of our entire team, along with the fortifying partnership and cohesion we enjoy with our esteemed customers, who are among key elements of our successful operations. We thank our employees for their dedication, our customers for their patronage, and stakeholders for helping us reach this milestone,” Khurram Aziz Khan, PICT Chief Executive Officer, said.

Khan led a simple ceremony to commemorate the landmark achievement and was joined by Hans-Ole Madsen, ICTSI Regional Head — Europe, Middle East and Africa; Rune Rasmussen, PICT Independent Director; and PICT’s senior management team.

Operating Berths 6 to 9 at the East Wharf of the Karachi Port, PICT is the preferred terminal for the Indian subcontinent trade routes.

The common-use terminal offers excellent connections to Central Asia, Afghanistan and the Western China hinterlands.
