After successfully showcasing “Old Town Central” and “Sham Shui Po — Every Bit Local” in the Hong Kong Neighborhoods campaign, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) formally launched a West Kowloon neighborhood promotion on 9 September.
The campaign celebrates the district’s rich heritage by featuring art and cultural tourism landmarks. It also serves to foster local culture, promoting historical architecture, old stores and traditional craftsmanship.
The neighborhood offers amazing experiences for visitors to discover as it continues to evolve and be revitalized. The program emphasizes immersive experiences that focus on unique traditions. It recommends more than 50 points of interest, shops and restaurants via an interactive e-map, which can be found on the HKTB website.

Following the central theme of the promotion, large-scale art installations will also be seen throughout the district. The installation is a collaboration between the HKTB and FriendsWithYou, a pop-art duo composed of Samuel Borkson from the United States and Arturo Sandoval III from Cuba, who bring more color to the district and give tourists the opportunity to enjoy art and create photo memories.
HKTB anticipates that the campaign will enable visitors to rediscover the city from new viewpoints.
