Angeles farmers get huge boost

The city government also provided aid to coffee farmers of the city by showcasing their products at the One Town One Product store.

ANGELES CITY, Pampanga — The Department of Agriculture (DA) recently distributed corn seeds and fertilizers to 40 farmers here to help increase the production of corn in the province.

The DA — in cooperation with the city government — provided the farmers with 30 bags of white corn seeds, 10 bags of yellow corn seeds, and 150 bags of organic fertilizer as part of their support for the agency’s corn production program.

Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel disclosed that it is part of the city’s thrust to preserve the agriculture in this highly urbanized city.

“The city government is giving all-out-support to our farmers. Being one of the most affected sectors in this pandemic, we want to aid them get back on track and continue their livelihood amid the current situation,” Manuel said.

The city government also provided aid to coffee farmers of the city by showcasing their products at the One Town One Product store.
