Amid the pandemic, the people of Davao City capped on Sunday the three-day 36th Kadayawan Festival held digitally to stem the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Mayor Sara Duterte intoned that her city celebrated the Kadayawan online for the second straight year as a testament to the resilience of Dabawenyos.

“It is only fitting that we continue to honor the wealth of our culture and recognize the numerous contributions of our people from generations past in the comforts of our homes,” she said.

With the conclusion of the festival, Daily Tribune goes back to pre-pandemic times in showcasing the talents of the street dancers and the beauty of their costumes.
