NPA arms cache seized

Police and military personnel have seized various arms hoarded and stocked by members of the New People’s Army (NPA) in Barangay Sampaloc, Pantabangan town in Nueva Ecija.
The haul was scored by Army and police forces, the Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office reported.
Recovered were an M203 40mm grenade, two rocket propelled grenade ammo; 29 pieces of 5.56 rifle bullets, 18 pieces 7.62 bullets and 14 cartridges of cal. .30-06 for M1 Garand rifle.
Also seized were four En-bloc ammo clip for M1 Garanda, three long and one short magazines for M16 rifle, a handguard for the same rifle and a bandolier vest.
Police Regional Office 3 chief P/Brig. Gen. Valeriano de Leon said the cache will incapacitate the NPA some more.
He also commended the troops for implementing President Rodrigo Duterte’s Executive Order 70, which aims to end the local communist armed conflict.
