Myla Pablo unleashed 26 points to claim Game One of the bronze medal match for the Petro Gazz Angels, 25-21, 25-15, 22-25, 25-20, against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans in the PVL Open Conference at the PCV Socio-Civic and Cultural Center in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte on Wednesday.

The Angels now hold a 1-0 lead and is looking to finish the job tomorrow.

A Kat Tolentino attack error sealed a five-point run from Petro Gazz in the fourth set and ultimately ended the match.

“Well talagang iba ‘yung tournament na ito, it’s more on the mental game. Hindi na all about skills talagang sa mental na kung paano mag prepare as individual and as a team,” Petro Gazz coach Arnold Laniog said.

At least 25 of Pablo’s 26 points came from attacks.

Choco Mucho will have to play Game 2 without team captain Maddie Madayag, who hurt her left knee in the middle of the fourth set and was pulled out of the court
