Mayor Simplicia “Fely” P. Pedrablanca of Tubajon, Dinagat Islands boasted the natural bounty of their City in an interview on Thursday.
“Marami po kami dito; lapu-lapu, maya-maya, tanigue, pusit, tuna, at mura lang po ito samin,” Pedrablanca enumerated, referring to the abundancy of their waters.
She told the Network Briefing News that seafoods such as lobsters and crabs are plentiful, ensuring 10 kilograms each for the fishermen which costs 300 to 500 pesos a day.
“Meron pong buyer na galing sa Cebu at saka sa Leyte. Minsan din po sa Davao,” she added.
On the other hand, the Mayor shared that the situation during pandemic did not look as good as their resources.
“Marami pa po ang hindi pa nabakunahan sa lahat ng mga priority list,” Pedrablanca stated. Only 200 senior citizens were inoculated in the town of Tubajon.
