CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Six more persons died of Covid-19 here on Thursday bringing the total number of fatalities to 570 since the pandemic broke out last year.
The City Health Office (CHO) reported six death — 62, 69, year old females, 25, 75 and 64 year old males, all having existing health problems such as high blood,diabetes and asthma.
The CHO also reported 96 Covid-19 recoveries bringing the total to 10,836 recoveries in the city.
At least 96 new infections brought the total case to 12,990.
The new cases include local and local authorized persons outside residents.
As of Thursday, the city has 1,873 active cases, 523 of which were admitted at the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals while 1,260 were listed as outpatient.
The report said that barangay Carmen has the highest number of corona virus cases, followed by barangays, Bulua, Kauswagan, Lumbia, Iponan, Gusa,Macasandig, Lapasan, Bugo and Canitoan,
Before they succumbed all were having cough, fever and hard breathing all symptoms of the Covid-19 illness.
Becuase of their rising Covid-19 cases the city has been placed under enhanced community quarantine up to 20 August.
