Mayor Pauline Marie Masendo of Talacogon City asserted that the pandemic response of their municipality has been drastically improved over an interview on Monday by Network Briefing News.
“We have strict implementation of our ordinance on health protocols, meron din tayong local executive orders,” Masendo stated.
They clarified with their constituents that the new variant cannot be detected in some COVID tests, therefore, individuals wanting to come home in the city may not be guaranteed safe despite the negative RT-PCR result.
On the other hand, Masendo stated that 17.44% of their vaccination target has been completed.
Indigenous people in their city are continuously urged to get inoculated by letting them understand the benefits of the vaccine. Although negative reactions are natural, the Mayor claimed that it has been effective.
