Three individuals, including a woman, allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade were caught and suspected shabu estimated to be worth P68,000 was seized in a buy-bust operation conducted by the authorities in Valenzuela City on Saturday morning.
According to the investigation of PSMS Fortunato Candido, it was around 4:45 a.m. when operatives of the station drug enforcement unit of the Valenzuela City Police conducted a buy-bust operation at Lamesa Street in Barangay Ugong.
Police identified the suspects as Marvin Cruz, alias Vin, 42, Jefferson Ore, alias Ore, 27, and Carmela Sanguyo, alias Rio, 34.
A police poseur buyer bought P500 worth of shabu from the suspects, and when Cruz handed over the contraband, the police immediately gave a signal to his colleagues who immediately grabbed them.
Authorities recovered from the suspects’ possession seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with a street value of P68,000, P800 in cash, three cell phones and a gray coin purse.
They are now in the custody of the Valenzuela City police and are facing charges of violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
