Flatline or R301? ImperialHal answers longtime Apex Legends gun debate

Apex Legends pro and popular streamer Phillip “ImperialHal” Dosen of TSM gave his thoughts on the long-debated topic in Apex Legends between the Flatline and R301.

The R301 has long been favored by many players in the community due to its above average damage and excellent stability that comes with a good rate of fire. Flatline, meanwhile, boasts overwhelming damage and range but is a handful to control its recoil.

“Flatline is probably a better gun overall than the R301 because of more damage,” he said during a recent stream.

Learning how to master the Flatline has been an impossible task for most but ImperialHal believes that pros such as himself should be able to fire the dreaded assault rifle with ease.

“Flatline has a bigger mag and does more damage than the 301, but the 301 is easier,” he quipped.

“So for casuals, you’ll probably use the 301 because casuals don’t know how to handle recoil compared to pro players so if you’re a pro player you should be using the Flatline.”
