Twin quakes rock Davao Occidental

Twin earthquakes rocked Davao Occidental today morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs said that magnitude 6 was recorded at 8:43 a.m. while magnitude 5.4 occurred at 8:51 a.m. Saturday.
According to Phivolcs, magnitude 6, which has a depth of 88 kilometers was located 297 kilometers south 24 degrees east of Sarangani, Davao Occidental while magnitude 5.4 which has a depth of 97 kilometers was located at 304 kilometers south, 23 degrees east of Sarangani.
It has yet to release intensity on the twin quakes.
On the other hand, Phivolcs said that there is no tsunami threat in the Philippines following a magnitude 6.1 quake that rocked Talaud Islands, Indonesia at 6:43 a.m. on Saturday.
