United City FC absorbed its second straight loss in a 0-8 drubbing at the hands of Japanese powerhouse Kawasaki Frontale in the AFC Champions League at the Lokomotiv Stadium in Tashkent, Uzbekistan late Friday.

The Philippine Football League champions held their ground for the first 32 minutes only to break apart after Kaoru Mitoma slotted home a header in the 33rd minute before Ryota Ohshima doubled the lead in the 42nd minute which opened the floodgates that drowned UCFC into another humiliating beating.

Kawasaki Frontale turned the second half into a turkey shoot with the reigning J1 League titlists scoring at will.

A 50th minute goal by Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao opened the second half before Kento Tachibanada scored a hat trick. A couple more goals from Mitoma and Yasuto Wakizaka served as coup de grace for Kawasaki Frontale’s third win to keep a tight hold of the lead in Group I.

UCFC languished at the bottom of the group with 1 draw and two losses card.

The two clubs will meet again on 5 July at 10 p.m.
