Anne Curtis is not moving to GMA, as fans worried over a Zoom meeting screenshot of the ABS-CBN talent with GMA Films president Annette Gozon-Valdes and producer Joey Abacan that Abacan himself posted on Instagram.

Twitter user @acurtisheussaf reposted the photo and wrote: “Please tell us na gma films lang at hindi ka lilipat sa GMA.”

Anne clarified that the Zoom meeting was only for a film pitch that has yet to be greenlighted.

“As always, I need to read the script before making a decision,” Anne said.

The anxiety of Anne’s fans could be traced to Bea Alonzo’s recent move from ABS-CBN to GMA.

Anne added that she has actually worked with GMA in the 2010 film In Your Eyes with Richard Gutierrez and Claudine Barretto costarring with Anne.

In a separate tweet, Anne asked fans to calm down (“Kalma lang, madlang peeps!”) since she’s set to return to the noontime variety show It’s Showtime.

Kapamilya stars Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz, Maja Salvador, Julia Barretto, Billy Crawford, Khalil Ramos and Richard Yap have left the network’s talent management arm Star Magic, led by Johnny Manahan who also left the network at the start of the year. ABS-CBN was forced to shut down in July 2020 after Congress rejected its franchise renewal.
