Kaya FC suffered another heartbreak after a 0-3 loss against defending champion Ulsan Hyundai FC in the group stage of AFC Champions League in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday.
The Philippines Football League (PFL) runner-up club was not able to handle the elite Korean squad’s masterclass and ultimately registered its third consecutive defeat in the tournament.
A pair of first half goals from Korean striker Oh Se-hun and a strike from Georgian reinforcement Vako Kazaishvil in the 48th gave Ulsan its third consecutive victory in the group stage.
The said victory also put Ulsan as the first-ever team to win 12 consecutive matches in ACL history.
Despite the loss, the Filipinos still have the chance to bounce back when they once again face Ulsan on 5 July.
