Former child star Nikki Bagaporo is slowly forging her own path as a recording artist

The Goin’ Bulilit actor and Backdoor Artist-managed talent is taking it one step at a time, starting with the release of her debut track “M.U.” with Viva Records.

“M.U.” explores the type of relationship where both parties have feelings for each other but steer clear of putting a label on it due to commitment issues.

“I want to be a full-time recording artist and composer because that has been my dream ever since I was a kid. Acting sort of became a way for me to reach that,” Bagaporo said in an online interview.

Known for starring in the defunct ABS-CBN children’s comedy show, Bagaporo wishes to be recognized now in the music scene.

She said, “Creating music has always been what I wanted — add singing and dancing on stage. I want to reach the level of a total performer and an international recording artist, too.”
Bagaporo plans to release an EP in the next few months.

Aside from singing and songwriting, Bagaporo has also found passion in the traditional arts.

“I’m into painting, sketching and drawing lately,” she said. “In future, I want to have my own gallery and an exhibit where I can showcase my artworks to also inspire people.”
