2,000 passwords, nakompromiso

Nasa 2,000 passwords mula sa websites ng iba’t ibang ahensiya ng gobyerno ang nakompromiso sa isang online forum, ayon sa National Privacy Commission (NPC).
“There is a serious need to put up stronger walls against data security breaches in the government setting where a great deal of collection and processing of citizens’ personal data happens,” sabi ni NPC Commissioner Raymund Liboro.
Batay sa records ng Complaints and Investigation Team ng komisyon, may 2,000 passwords sa websites na nasa ilalim ng gov.ph ang nalantad umano sa isang online forum.
Kaugnay nito, magdaraos ang NPC ngayong Miyerkules, Mayo 26, ng virtual Data Protection Officer Accountability, Compliance, and Ethics Certification Program (DPO ACE) training para bumuo ng data privacy codes of conduct.
