Activision has announced the Call of Duty World Series of Warzone brandishing four tournaments with a staggering $300,000 prize pool each.
The semi-invitational tournament will be composed of 50 trio squads from North America in the first event that would battle to get their share of $200,000.
An additional $100,000 will be at stake in the Captain’s Cup.
This is a fun twist that would be spearheaded by some of the biggest names in Call of Duty esports, according to the developer.
Activision was also quick to address potential cheaters in the upcoming series, citing that each player would undergo an extensive security check before they can participate.
“Before participating in a WSOW event, all participants will need to pass an extensive and internal Activision security check to make sure their Activision accounts are in good standing,” the developer wrote.
“Participants found to have violated competitive integrity standards will be banned from all future Activision sponsored Warzone events and may be subject to further action.”
