The naked body of a female victim was found by authorities at a vacant lot in Barangay Silangan, Quezon City on Thursday afternoon.

Said remains, believed to be bludgeoned and already in the decomposition state, was discovered by a resident of Sitio Bakal in the said barangay around 3:20 p.m. who reported it to the Quezon City Police District-Police Station 13.

Investigators estimated the victim to be between 20-30 years old. Her head was said to be smashed with a hard object and her private part mutilated and inserted with wood.

A deeper probe yielded that the victim was the same person reported missing three days earlier from Barangay Batasan.

PS13 chief PLt. Deemaree Romero noted that members of the victim’s family were able to identify her remains through her tattoos.

Police are now conducting a follow-up investigation to determine and apprehend the person or persons behind the gruesome crime.
