Pag-IBIG has acknowledged Daily Tribune for serving as an instrument in helping Filipinos access relevant information about the state-run corporation.
Its recognition cited Daily Tribune for “leading print media companies in year 2020,” most especially in extending the publication of its related news releases in Tribune’s online sites, thereby “allowing more avenues for Filipinos to access relevant information and updates on the Pag-IBIG Fund.”
The award will be officially handed during Pag-IBIG’s first virtual Kapihan on 14 May.
Pag-IBIG, which stands for Pagtutulungan sa Kinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko, Industria at Gobyerno, aims to provide adequate housing for Filipinos since 1978.
Last year, it released P63.75 billion in home loans which allowed 63,750 of its members to acquire houses. And for the first three months of 2021, Pag-IBIG granted P2.2 billion worth of socialized home loans to 5,074 members from the minimum-wage and low-income groups.
At the helm of these feats is Acmad Rizaldy P. Moti, Pag-IBIG chief executive officer.
Daily Tribune, on the other hand, at its core strives to fulfill its mission as a national newspaper committed to delivering only the essentials — fair and factual, current news, and a plethora of printed views.
