Ciara Sotto defends Maine Mendoza from bashers for past “offending tweets”





Singer-actress Ciara Sotto defended Maine Mendoza against netizens who were upset and bashed the after her Eat Bulaga host old tweets resurfaced.

On Friday, April 16, Maine took to Twitter to apologize for her “offending tweets” she posted several years ago.

The TV host-actress said that she already learned her lessons and promised to be more careful with what she says whether in person or in social media.

Ciara expressed her support for Maine in a Twitter post on Saturday.

“You are not defined by your past mistakes. Whatever you’ve been through doesn’t have to be the end of you. You are valuable and irreplaceable. And I love you!!! @mainedcm,” she tweeted.

She also shared that being a celebrity doesn’t mean you are not allowed to make mistakes.

“All of us have made mistakes in the past that we regret, especially when we were younger… Being a celebrity doesn’t mean we are not allowed to make those mistakes… we are human just like you. STOP THE HATE. BE KIND… TO OTHERS… and TO YOURSELF,” she said.
