Business tycoon Lucio Tan is “in stable condition” and “improving” since being rushed to the hospital early Friday morning after experiencing difficulty in breathing.
A Daily Tribune source said Tan’s confinement at the Chinese General Hospital “was the result of a recent Covid-19 outbreak” in the area near where his family resides in Quezon City.
Tan is currently admitted in the coronary care unit for Covid-19 in the said hospital and not in intensive care as what was earlier reported in some social media posts.
It is not known, however, if his wife, Carmen, or other members of his family also contracted the viral respiratory disease.
“After 35 hours, he is reported to be in stable condition and improving,” the source stated.
