Caloocan, Navotas continue providing cash aid, food packs

The distribution of cash assistance coming fom the national government in the cities of Caloocan and Navotas continued on Thrusday.

According to Caloocan mayor Oca Malapitan, the city government will continue to work to expedite the distribution of the assistance for the local residents.

“In the next few days, we will increase our pay-out sites in various barangays so that it will reach the beneficiaries as soon as possible,” he said.

Meanwhile, house to house distribution of food packs from the funds and initiative of the Caloocan city government is still on-going, he added.
Under the mayor’s directive, the aid is targeted to reach all families throughout the city.

“I know that almost all of us are affected by the re-implementation of enhanced community quarantine. We want to reach out to all citizens as much as we can, we are distributing the aid to every household, this is from our local government,” he said.

On the other hand, some 4,627 families consisting of 10,988 residents were provided with financial assistance by the Navotas City government.
