The Philippine Coast Guard reported on Thursday that an oil tanker and a bulk carrier collided at the waters off Cavite Wednesday night.
PCG Spokesman Commodore Armand Balilo said chemical/oil tanker Rich Rainbow and bulk carrier Ivy Alliance collided at waters three nautical miles from Cavite City.
The Coast Guard immediately rushed to the area to determine and found out that all crew aboard the two ships are safe and accounted for.
No oil spill has been found upon initial check.
“Wala namang oil spill, may mga butas lang yung mga barko,” a source told Daily Tribune.
Balilo said PCG will conduct an investigation on the incident.
