Tatlong kaso ng South African variant ng Covid-19 naitala sa Parañaque

Tatlo nang kaso ng South Africa variant ng Covid-19 virus ang naitala sa Lungsod ng Parañaque nitong Lunes na kinumpirma ni Mayor Edwin Olivarez.
Ayon kay Olivarez ay natukoy na umano ang tatlong pasyente at kasalukuyan nang sumasailalim sa isolation at quarantine.
Sa ngayon ay patuloy pa rin umano ang pagsasagawa ng lokal na pamahalan ng lungsod at mga tauhan ng barangay ng contact tracing para matunton kung sino-sino ang nakasalamuha ng nasabing tatlo.
Samantala, sa Lungsod ng Makati, ipinag-utos naman ni Mayor Abby Binay ang pagpapasara at pagtatanggal ng business permit sa dalawang restobars, ang Movida Fashion Food Club at Royal Club Makati na matatagpuan sa Barangay Poblacion dahil sa paglabag ng mga ito sa curfew at sumuway pa sa health at safety protocols.
“We are very alarmed by the blatant disregard for the law and cavalier attitude shown by these establishments and their clients. Let me remind everyone that we are still in a pandemic. With the presence of new variants, we need to remain vigilant and observe safety protocols at all times. Safety comes first! People’s lives are at stake here,” pahayag ni Binay.
Nakasaad sa Makati City Ordinance No. 2020-165, sa ilalim ng Modified General Community Quarantine ay 75% lamang ang maaaring kapasidad ng dine-in service habang sa ilalim naman ng General Community Quarantine ay nasa 50% lamang.
