The Department of Transportation (DoTr) continues with its Libreng Sakay program for health workers, which is available not just in the National Capital Region, but also in Regions 1 to 12, Cordillera Autonomous Region and CARAGA region.

The service is being offered free in other areas of the country due to the cooperation of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
On Friday, 29 January 2021, total ridership reached 2,062,978. Of this total, 565,606 availed of the service in Metro Manila, while 1,497,372 were from the regions.

Meanwhile, it is possible to view the exact location online of buses under the 20 routes in the Greater Manila Area due to the GPS location tracker installed on all units. This way, frontliners can know the exact time a bus will be available.

The exact location of buses can be viewed via the website and mobile app of Sakay.ph, as well as through Google Maps.

The updated map link may be accessed at https://covid19.sakay.ph.

The DoTr Road Sector reports it deployed 36 vehicles during last Friday’s Libreng Sakay program.

In partnership with Petron Corp., DoTr is also providing a fuel subsidy to all transport companies that are part of the program.

Likewise, the toll fees of all medical workers on all expressways in Luzon are still free.
