Television host Raymond Gutierrez is in hot water as netizens called him out for alleged violation of health protocols over a supposed party he hosted for his 37th birthday which caused the closure of a restaurant in Taguig.
As Metro Manila is still under General Community Quarantine, gatherings of more than ten people are still strictly prohibited hence, parties and celebrations of any sort are not allowed yet.
In a Twitter post of @GaysOverCovidPH, a photo showed the former child actor at the center as he was being surrounded by people as their camera phones pointed at him at La Picara restaurant in Taguig City.
The photo however had a disclaimer that said “Happy birthday, @mond. Note: Everyone was PCR tested.”

This then resulted in an order to close the establishment over supposed violations of Covid-19 protocols.

Another Twitter post by @dietsunnies, Gutierrez was seen in photos with his friends notably his sister-in-law Sarah Lahbati and “FPJ: ANg Probinsyano” actress Yassi Pressman. The caption reads “Where’s the accountability?”

Netizens were then quick to hit back Gutierrez for negligence over the pandemic situation. They also felt for the workers of the establishment as well as their families who were directly affected by the closure.
Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano then issued a statement stressing that a negative RT-PCR test is not an excuse to violate standard health protocols especially at a time of pandemic.
The Daily Tribune has tried to reach out to Gutierrez but to no avail as of this writing.
