Three hysterically laughing emojis were Mariel Rodriguez’s initial reaction to rumors that her husband, Robin Padilla, has gotten controversial vlogger Mocha pregnant.

The rumors circulated on social media after pep.ph published on 21 January a blind item that said a “controversial female personality is in an interesting stage,” and that the father of the baby she’s bearing is a “famous actor” who is “super close” to the woman’s “boss.”

MARIEL Rodriguez disputes rumors involving husband Robin Padilla.

Mocha was the former leader of a sexually suggestive dance group, the Mocha Girls, who gained notoriety as a rabid propagandist of President Duterte when she opened a Facebook account named Diehard Duterte Supporter (DDS).

MR. and Mrs. Padilla celebrate Christmas last year.

Robin is likewise an ardent supporter of Mr. Duterte.

The source of the rumor, said pep, is from a “non-showbiz” group. The rumor was further fueled by claims by a friend of Mocha that the latter has not been showing up at meetings and gatherings of her group.

Mariel went on to post on Instagram a detailed response:

“So many people are sending me messages… ‘checking’ on me. People are tagging me bla bla bla… Let me tell you this. ROBIN’S BROTHER PASSED AWAY. He is grieving. He has never been in so much pain all his life. He doesn’t need your baseless gossip… Please… He doesn’t even know anything about this rumor but I am putting a stop to this NOW.”

Mariel ended her statement by calling out the source of the rumor that there is time to be assholes but “now is not that time. Please.”
