Capt. Francis Salcedo, 11th IB civil-military operations officer, said soldiers encountered four rebels in the hinterlands, and intermittent firefight lasted for almost 30 minutes.
Aside from the slain rebels’ bodies, troops recovered an M653 rifle, a caliber-.45 pistol with magazine, a bandolier with two magazines for M14 rifles, and three backpacks with medical supplies.
